Seattle Picks is Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice, and focused on the unsolicited opinions of the locally based Seattle Picks staff of freelance writers.

Seattle Picks is a free, subscription-driven weekly publication, sent out every Friday via email and then updated on our homepage. It’s a fun and sassy format for “City Secrets,” delivered in a timely and unique manner to a highly targeted market. Seattle Picks reaches mostly women, busy and well-educated “influencers,” who like to find out about items and services that enhance their lives.

Seattle Picks’ founder, Kathi O’Neil, started her career in Manhattan with Hearst Magazines and The Hearst Corporation. A native Oregonian, O’Neil and her husband returned to Seattlein the early 90s. There O’Neil started Westover Media, a full-service marketing firm whose partial list of clients includes: ElleIn Style, Lucky, Tom’s of Maine, Oprah, Gourmet, The New Yorker, Town and Country, Vogue, Vanity Fair, Conde Nast Traveler, and Health, to name a few.

Seattle Picks provides entertaining hints, recommendations, and best-kept secrets about shops, restaurants, hangouts, products, and services.  We sometimes include paid placements which are noted with a “sponsored” banner. Hip Happenings and Events of the Week are always paid placements. Seattle Picks’ parent company, City Picks Group, is a subsidiary of Westover Media, LLC.
